GTV6 (116.C)

The top model of the Alfetta series was launched in 1980. It is called GTV6 and no longer Alfetta.

The launch of the V6 engine was delayed due to the global oil crisis in the beginning 1970s. The first version of the GTV6 was built from 1980 to 1982 in 11468 copies with a V6 2492ccm engine producing 158HP.

The installation of the V6 engine required substantial technical modifications which came in combination with optical upgrades. To install the new engine, the bonnet was curved upwards and given a gray cover.

The driver outside mirror is electrically adjustable. Steering, suspension and tires (195/60 HR 15 on alloy wheels) are changed, self ventilated brake discs are used. Bigger headlamps and black trim (both windows and body) came.

For the first time air conditioning was an option.
